As a fitness professional and a mother of two, Amy understands firsthand the challenges of balancing healthy habits with the demands of a busy life. It is hard to find time to get in shape and it’s even harder to find the motivation to stay in shape. Fitness was not always a part of Amy’s life, just four years ago; she weighed in at a mere 490lbs and 52%BMI.
As a mom with two very active boys, she knew that they needed her to be healthy. It was time for Amy to change her life. No more fad diets or diet pills, the good old fashioned way, with exercise and a lifestyle change. She never wanted to call it a diet, as we all know diets DO NOT work. Amy decided she had to make it a revolutionary life change. To date, Amy has LOST 340lbs. There were so many times Amy was tired, weak and frustrated, but knew she couldn’t give up. Amy knows if she can do it, anyone can.
Amy has continued a quest to help others and is actively engaged in continuing to determine what works and what doesn’t. As she sees something new come into the fitness and nutrition scene, she is committed to learning about it correctly so I can share the important parts with others.
She is also a lifestyle and fitness coach offering personal training, nutritional consulting and motivational speaking. She is a fitness competitor and featured in the press, such as Oxygen Magazine October Cover Model, Fox News, Muscle Sport Magazine, Muscle Mag Fitness, featured on NBC Today Show, ABC WJLA Channel 7, ABC Let’s Talk Live Channel 8, Fox & Friends and EXTRA!Her goal is to inspire people to take action and get moving!
Over the years, she has learned that the best way to stay in shape is to make it your lifestyle and not a quick fix. Amy’s program incorporates movement, sound nutrition and positive thinking. Amy feels that through her struggle with weight loss, it is now time for her to give back. Fitness is not just a career now for Amy, it’s her life.
